The Coalition for Childhood and Adolescence, CDIA, is an association that groups nongovernmental organizations working for the promotion and defense of children’s rights in Paraguay. The principles, goals and roles of this association give to the coalition identity in the promotion and defense of children and adolescents as well as in the areas of enforceability and monitoring of rights. The design, execution and follow up of public policies are priorities for the coalition. At the present 28 Ngos are associated to the CDIA.
CDIA has civil social bylaws and it is a legal entity.
The CDIA is member of the National Association of NGOS of Paraguay (Pojoaju) and the Coalition for Human Rights of Paraguay (CODEHUPY). It is associated to the Network against all kinds of discrimination. In the regional level is member of the Latin-American and Caribbean Network for the Defense of Children’s Rights (REDLAMYC). In the international level, it is also recognized as the national coalition by the Group of NGOS that gives support to the Committee of Children s Rights of the United Nations.
